Factory Building Construction

The two methods of building frameworks, RCC and PEB steel, are vastly different. Some of them are pre-engineered, but the majority are completed entirely on-site at the job site. A look at the advantages and disadvantages of each setting will be discussed in this post, as well as which one is more feasible.

The Aspect of Cost

In addition to the project’s location, the cost of building and construction materials is heavily influenced by the ease of obtaining those materials.

For many construction projects, building steel is a more cost-effective alternative to concrete. Using recycled materials and reducing labour costs make this a more cost-effective alternative to on-site assembling, forming, and finishing.

Which one is more environmentally friendly?

Stainless steel is one of the most easily recycled metals. As a result of its long usefulness, it merits purchase of the material to ensure proper recycling! Additionally, natural environments are utilised in the production of concrete, making it safer for our atmosphere. Cement waste will be greatly reduced by this method of recycling. As a result, PEB construction outlasts concrete in terms of durability.

Capabilities to withstand fire

Even at high temperatures, steel is not typically flammable. Steel, on the other hand, can be damaged by mild heating to the point where it can be broken with a hammer and sculpted! If used excessively, this could lead to structural issues, such as steel fatigue or structural instability. Fire-hazardous materials must be used in the construction of the building to ensure that potential risks do not come into play during the format.

In addition to being fire resistant, concrete is also impervious to high winds, which may otherwise blow through an area unattended due to the lack of resistance on the building’s surfaces, which can cause problems such as the shedding of frameworks or other hazardous fires.

Corrossion resistance is fourth

Steel buildings are built to withstand the test of time. While steel itself may or may not be a problem, painting it ensures that water and further deterioration will not be able to get into the structure. Concrete, on the other hand, is naturally resistant to rust because of its composition. However, if exposed to water, enhanced concrete can wear off, compromising the structural integrity of the building.

On the whole, the advantages of PEB steel frameworks over concrete frameworks are numerous. EPACK Prefab has more than 24 years of experience in prefabricated building manufacturing. Prefabrication has covered nearly 6 million square feet so far, thanks to our talented team. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
